Brent P. Malard, 41, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Brent gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation and his organs have restored life's promise for many families.
Brent was born December 19, 1969 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Virgil E. and Carol (Heth) Malard. As a young boy he lived in McClusky and Valley City, ND with his parents. He moved to Jamestown in 1972 and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1988. He graduated from Jamestown College in 1993 with a business degree. He was employed at Leever's Super Value in Jamestown and Menomonie, WI. He has worked at Hugo's in Jamestown since 2003, most recently as the Pricing Manager. On January 6, 2005, Brent married Tonya Rankin in Jamestown.
Brent's hobbies included baseball, wrestling, football, camping, collecting baseball and football cards, scaring or \""surprising\"" his friends and his children's friends, spending time with his dogs and following his children's activities.
Brent is survived by his wife, Tonya, Jamestown; two children, Brett and Brittany Frank, both of Jamestown; parents, Virgil and Carol Malard, Jamestown; two brothers, Brian Malard, Cleburne, TX and Bruce (Andrea) Malard, Anchorage, AK; one sister, Jennifer Schonauer, Denver, CO; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harlan and Teresa Rankin, Glendive, MT and sister-in-law, Tracy (Jeff) Weber, Fort Collins, CO.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
