Bruce Jansen

Bruce Jansen, 72, of Adrian, ND, passed away early Monday morning, July 6, 2015 at Sanford Health in Fargo after a short battle with cancer.

Bruce D. Jansen was born on July 17, 1942, in Marion, ND, the son of John and Eleanora (Froehlich) Jansen. He grew up on the family farm and attended school through the 8th grade in Adrian. Bruce graduated from Montpelier High School and then enlisted in the US Army March 1964 at Ft. George G. Meade, MD. He was discharged in March 1966 and returned to North Dakota. Bruce married Sandy Fidge on April 22, 1967 in Jamestown. They made their home near Adrian and raised a family there. Bruce worked at Western Gear for many years and drove truck his whole life, most recently for Davis Trucking.

Above all Bruce’s family was very important to him and he loved spending time with all of them, including his wife, Sandy Jansen, Adrian; daughter, Kerri (Jason) Robinson, Racine, WI; sons, Brian (Joan) Jansen, Cedar Rapids, IA, Kelly (Becky) Jansen, Jamestown, David (Julie) Jansen, Adrian, and Jason (Melissa) Jansen, Jamestown; brothers, Dennis (Diana) Jansen, Young, AZ and Doug (Mary) Jansen, Lisbon, ND; sisters, Joan (Butch) Ternes, Center, ND, Joyce (Dennis) Voss, Eleva, WI, Janel Taylor, Devils Lake, ND, and Jackie Jansen, Mandan, ND; 17 grandchildren, Krista, Kendra, Kyler, Kelsey, Kristina, Carleigh, Cole, Tyrell, Logan, Nolan, Seth, Taylor, Amber, Adrian, Allison, Andrew, and Abbigail; and 8 great- grandchildren, Jaydyn, Kaihlynn, Baylee, Mikaylah, Zechariah, Colton, Keaton, and Isabelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; daughter-in-law, Julie; and granddaughter, Alexious Jansen.

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Montpelier Lutheran Church, Montpelier, ND with Pastor Lucinda Lien officiating.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Adrian Cemetery, Adrian, ND.
