Butch Sheetz

Terry "Butch" Sheetz, 64, died Saturday, January 7 at Essentia Health in Fargo. Terry was born July 10, 1947 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, son of Edwin Sheetz and Alma (Loose) Sheetz. He grew up and attended schools in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Billings, Montana and Jamestown, North Dakota. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1965.

He married Sharon LaRosa July 26, 1968 in Jamestown. He worked with his father in construction work, building churches and businesses. He worked for Traiser Electric as an electrician and then at the North Dakota State Hospital as an electrician until his retirement in 2009. He attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his granddaughter Jaymee George and son-in-law, Lanny George; sisters, Lois Denny, Jean Johnson, Judy Wilson; brothers, Bruce (Connie) Sheetz, and Jeff (Jan) Sheetz; sister-in-law, Karen (Larry) O'Daniel; and 10 nieces and 11 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lynette George.

Funeral - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown.

Visitation - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Interment - Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
