Calvin Schultz

March 16, 1955 — June 23, 2019

Calvin Clyde Schultz, 64, Jamestown, ND, passed away June 23, 2019, at Eventide Nursing Home Jamestown under hospice care due to diabetic complications. Calvin was born March 16, 1955 in Jamestown, ND to Leonard and Erika (Mueller) Schultz. He attended schools in Woodworth and Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1973; Calvin enjoyed learning about agriculture and attended Hansen Auto School in Fargo, where he learned welding and diesel mechanics to repair equipment on the farm. Calvin farmed with his parents and older brother for over 30 years, raising cattle, sheep, hogs, chickens, planting and harvesting wheat, oats, corn and hay crops until 2004 when, due to declining health, he moved to Jamestown. He continued to live in an apartment until November 2018 when his health declined and became a resident of Eventide Nursing Home. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Price is Right, playing pool and visiting.

He is survived by his mother Erika, Jamestown; brother Conrad Schultz, Woodworth; sister Cindy (Ruben) Schultes; niece Christy (Matthew) Meza (Sebastian, Mariska, and Evanna Meza); niece Amber Schultes, and nephew Arlen Schultes, Uncle Oswald and Aunt Rose Schultz, all Jamestown; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Leonard (2012), sister Cleo(1982), several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Eventide Nursing Home, the Jamestown Dialysis Unit and Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice.

No services will be held; private burial at Highland Home Cemetery joining his father and sister.
