Candace Rebecca Brown

Candace Rebecca Brown, 42, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Sunday morning, July 23, 2017 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown., ND.

Candace Boan was born on April 22, 1975 in Salisbury, North Carolina the daughter of Jim and Vanessa (McNelly) Boan, the oldest of five. She attended high school in Georgia and graduated in 1993. She then went to Georgia State University for two years to work on her early childhood development degree. Candace married the love of her life, Randy Brown on June 19, 1994 in Georgia at Rockdale Baptist Church and had three beautiful daughters, Emily, Sarah, and Bethany.

She was involved in Jr. Church at Temple Baptist Church, the Salvation Army women’s group, and Bible Study Fellowship, She also taught Sunday school for over 25 years. Candace had a heart of gold as she warmly invited everyone to serve the Lord, just as she did. She would encourage others to trust God completely, love ferociously, and to live fearlessly. She had so many favorite Bible verses, but among them Proverbs 3:5 and Isaiah 41:10 held a special place in her heart. She sacrificed everything for her family and the happiness of others. She loved a lot, but her favorite things to do were DIY crafts and coloring. Candace’s spunky and cheerful attitude will always be remembered by her friends, family, and acquaintances as she touched so many lives.

Candace is survived by her mother; Vanessa, husband; Randy, three daughters; Emily Brown, Sarah Brown, and Bethany Brown, four siblings; Tom (Christy) Boan, Kimberly (Orlando) Chinea, Seth Boan, and Jesse Boan, nieces and nephews; Abbey, Taylor, Ethan, and Madelynn Boan, and very dear friends, Kathy Dean and Jackie Lloyd.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jim, and her grandparents, Steven and Noreen McNelly.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation be made to the lupus foundation.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown.
