Carissa Hoxtell

Carissa Lynne Hoxtell, 32, Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at her home in Grand Forks.

Carissa was born March 16, 1976 in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Lyle and Linda (Carlson) Hoxtell. She graduated from Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown College. In 2003 Carissa and her son, London, moved to Grand Forks.

Carissa was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church where she was confirmed. Her hobbies included reading, drawing and visiting with friends.

Carissa is survived by her son, London Lyle Hoxtell, Ypsilanti, ND; father, Lyle Hoxtell (Linda Chally), Fergus Falls, MN; one sister, Lethe Hoxtell, Duluth, MN; maternal grandparents, Alton and Wilma Carlson, Alexandria, MN; several aunts, uncles and cousins and a special friend, Jamison Stewart and family, Grand Forks.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Carlson Hoxtell; and paternal grandparents, Dale and Dorothy Hoxtell.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Atonement Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Steve Berntson officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association for research on scarcodosis.
