Carol Johnson

Carol Johnson, 74, of Marion, ND died Friday, February 4, 2005 at her home near Marion.

Carol Conrad was born July 9, 1930 in New Jersey, the daughter of Jacob and Edna (Kedenburg) Conrad. She graduated from Queens High School, New York. Carol married Raymond Burdick in 1951. She was an executive secretary of schools. Carol married Marvin Olson in 1961. Carol was awarded Mother of the Year in 1966. She later was wed to Ed Malkamus from 1974 to 1984. Carol married Paul Rose in 1984. She met and married Charles Johnson on November 19, 2003 and they lived in Oregon. They moved to Marion in 2003 where their home has been since.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Gila) Burdick of Knoxville, TN, and Stacy (Pat) Burdick of Salem, OR; two daughters, Judy Sokoll of Bly, OR and Mya Weston of Petaluma, CA; a brother, Burton (Connie) Conrad, San Francisco, CA; one granddaughter, Allison Weston; three step-children, Sherry (Blaine) Jacobs of Jamestown, ND, Teressa (Jeff) Eyler of Seattle, WA, and Michael Johnson of Jamestown, ND; three step-grandchildren, Ryan Wegner, Kansas City, Mo and Shawn and Ashley Johnson, Creswell, OR; and four foster children from the Calbert family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Conrad; and one step-son, Charles Johnson, Jr.

Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with her son, Chaplain Stacy Burdick officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the funeral home.

Burial: St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Marion, North Dakota.
