Carol Lochow, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown. Carol Jean Otto was born October 15, 1928 in Juanita, North Dakota the daughter of John and Ella (Hurlbert) Otto. She attended school in Juanita until her senior year when she moved to Rogers, ND and Carol graduated from Rogers High School. She attended beauty school in Fargo, ND. Carol married Charles F. Lochow, Sr. on June 8, 1949 in Jamestown. He died March 12, 1995.
Carol enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren, running the house and everything about being a homemaker. Her hobbies included sewing, cross stitch, gardening and baking. She was also a 4-H leader for many years.
Carol is survived by two sons, Chuck (Annette) Lochow, Russell, KY and Gary (Candy) Lochow, Devils Lake, ND, three daughters, Judi (Ken) Hall, Jamestown; Connie (Kevin) Sommer, Cavalier, ND and Joan (Rick) Kramlich, Courtenay, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a brother Darrell (Dee) Otto, Fargo, and two sisters, Georgia Benson, New Rockford and Dorothy Lochow, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters, Verle Samuel, Lois Folts and Marjorie Pederson.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, June 13, 2003 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown with The Rev. Dr. Gary Watts officiating.
Visitation: 12:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2003, Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Courtenay Cemetery, Courtenay, North Dakota.
