Carol Peterson, 71, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.

Carol was born September 15, 1933 in Devils Lake, North Dakota the daughter of Mandel and Gertrude (Appeman) Ray. She grew in Devils Lake and graduated from high school there. Carol married Les Peterson on October 16, 1954 in Devils Lake. She worked in retail sales at Hamm's Market, Pamida and K-Mart. Carol was a member of First Baptist Church and secretary of the church Sunday school for a number of years. She was also a volunteer with Awana Youth and at Central Dakota Village.

Carol is survived by her husband, Les, Jamestown; two children, Linda (Doug) Zaleski, Muncie, IN and Alan Peterson, Fountain Hills, AZ; two brothers, Robert (Shirley) Ray, Devils Lake and Gordon (Agnes) Ray, Montier, MO; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service: 2:30 PM, Monday, March 7, 2005 at First Baptist Church, Jamestown with Pastor Scott Avans officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
