Carol Siek

Carol Siek, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown.

Carol Janssan was born October 6, 1922 in Johnson, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Emma (Rixe) Janssan. She received her education and graduated from Graceville High School in Graceville, MN in 1940. On April 29, 1944 Carol married Hubert Siek in Minneapolis, MN. He died in 1971. They moved to Jamestown in 1955 where her home has been since. She was a nurses aide at Central Dakota Village for over 25 years and she also worked at K-Mart. In 2009 she moved to Eventide at Hi-Acres.

Carol's hobbies included arts and crafts of all kinds, especially crocheting and knitting, and bowling.

Carol is survived by one daughter, Deanna (Richard) Walters, Jamestown; two sons, Richard (Diana) Siek, Detroit Lakes, MN and Randy (Michelle) Siek, Jamestown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son; one sister; and two brothers.
