Carole M. Lindegren, 85, Ypsilanti, North Dakota died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.
Carole Homan was born July 23, 1921 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Lillian (Balsiger) Homan. She received her education in rural Brainerd, MN. Carole worked for many years as a nanny in both the Minneapolis, MN area and various places in New York. On March 18, 1949 Carole married James Lindegren in Carrington, ND. They moved to Oregon in 1953 where they raised their family. Upon retirement in 1984, they moved back to North Dakota settling in Ypsianti, where their home has been since.
Carole enjoyed sewing, reading and painting. She always took great pride in her home.
Carole is survived by her husband, Jim, Ypsilanti; a daughter, Hjordis Lindegren and a son, John Lindegren, both of Coquille, OR and three nieces, Maryann (Chris) Cole, Huron, SD, Kathleen (Michael) Burton, Nisswa, MN and Noreen Olson, Bismarck, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gloria Hill and one brother, Donald.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, May 18, 2007 at Montpelier Lutheran Church with Rev. Terry Anderson and Rev. Norman Winkelman officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
