Carrie Bernhagen

Carrie (Schrum) Konrad Bernhagen was born January 14, 1921 to Jacob and Christina (Heil) Schrum in Spring Valley Township, Dickey County, ND.  Carrie died at Hospice House in Fargo, ND on April 9, 2021 at the age of 100.  She was the last sibling of that family generation.

She grew up and attended Rural School and Edgeley Public School.  Carrie married William Konrad and they farmed near Monango, ND.  Later, Carrie moved to Edgeley and worked at the Coffee Shop.  Carrie married Richard Bernhagen and worked at Edgeley Grocery Stores until retirement.  Carrie moved to Manor St. Joseph in 2006.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.

Carrie is survived by daughter, Carol Ann Konrad, Fargo, ND; grandsons, Terry Brauer, Alco, NV, Kim (Dawn) Brauer, Sun Valley, NV; son-in-law, Darwin Brauer, Hardin, MT; three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Betty Brauer; brothers, Fred, Jake, Ivan, Rynold, Melvin, Johnny, Wilbert, and Albert Schrum; sisters, Rosina Schrum (in infancy), Pauline Pahl, Frieda Heller, Irene Geisler, Adeline Hartman, and Violet Untersher.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND with Pastor Alan Eppen officiating.

Burial: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley.
