Casimer Schlosser

October 25, 1919 — February 9, 2012

Casimer Schlosser, 92, of Edgeley, ND, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center, Oakes, ND.

Casimer Schlosser was born October 25, 1919, in Kintyre, ND, the eighth son of nineteen to Frank and Magdalena (Feist) Schlosser, self-proclaimed "the eight ball." He was raised on the family farm and began school in Kintyre. Casimer continued his schooling at Glenmore Township School after the family moving to Edgeley with his family. He married Dorothy Wald on November 11, 1945. They moved to Buckley, WA in 1956 where he was supervisor of maintenance in the local school district. After Casimer retired, they moved back to North Dakota in 1992 and resided in Edgeley. Dorothy died in 1996. Casimer enjoyed woodworking.

Casimer is survived by his children, Mary Jean (Lee) Whitmore, Green Valley, AZ, Terry (Toni) Schlosser, Camino Island, WA, and Connie Benson, Marysville, WA; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Magdalena Wald, Edgeley, Mary (Tony) Wald, Bismarck, ND; two brothers, Joe (Nelda) Schlosser, Edgeley, and Valentine Schlosser, Fargo, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents; fifteen siblings; and one great-grandson, Hunter Steinmetz.

Eucharist of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
