Catherine Herman

Catherine Herman, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Ave Maria Village after a long courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Catherine was born on December 24, 1938 at her parents’ home in Jamestown, ND. She was the daughter of Floyd and Mabel Wilson. She grew up in Jamestown and attended St. John’s Academy graduating from St. John’s Academy in 1956.

She worked at ASC office before beginning her employment at the ND State Hospital in 1961 and retired in 1996. Catherine married Vernon Herman on November 6, 1959 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pettibone. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown.

Catherine enjoyed traveling, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was being around her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 60 years, her children; Pamela (Allan) Hartmann, Cheryl (Troy) Hanson, and Michael (Melissa) Herman, her grandchildren; Timothy, Kristina, Shelbie, Alexandria, David, Chase, and Kylie as well as 5 great-grandchildren; Oakley, Aria, Olivia, Ella, Thomas, Arthur and Charli; one brother, Donald (Shirley) Wilson of Spokane, WA, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Dennis Wilson.

Visitation: 4:00PM to 7:00PM, Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM, Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.

Funeral Service: 10:00AM, Friday, December 13, 2019 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.
