Cecelia Cebula

Cecelia Cebula, 102, Jamestown, ND died at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, ND on Friday, March 30, 2007.

Cecelia Cebula was born September 22, 1904 on the family farm in Stutsman County near Kensal, ND the daughter of Boleslaw "Burle" and Lokadyia "Lucy" (Kulink) Cebula. She moved with her parents to a farm near Fried, ND when she was a baby and later attended the Ashland Township school near Fried, ND. Cecelia worked as a housekeeper before moving into Jamestown in 1963. She worked in the cafeteria of St. Johns Academy during the 1960's. She was a resident of Rock of Ages and later Central Dakota Village, both Jamestown, ND.


Survivors include 4 sisters, Susan Sorenson, Margaret (Charles) Kourajian, and Marian (Frank) Wilma, all Jamestown, ND and Leona Thomas, Washburn, ND; 3 brothers, J. Ralph (Elaine), Buchanan, ND, Sanford (Beryl), Wimbledon, ND and Robert (Marguerite), Jamestown, ND and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Helen and Rose; 2 brothers, Alex and John; and 4 brothers-in-law, Ray Falk, Ernest 'Bubs' Sorenson, Leonard Thomas and Everett Campbell.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at The Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, ND with Father Al Bitz presiding.
Prayer Service: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lisko Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to services in the church on Wednesday.
Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried, ND.
