Cecil Carolyn Salisbury Iverson, 75, Jamestown, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at Jamestown Hospital.
Cecil Carolyn Salisbury was born April 15, 1934, at Minnewaukan, ND, the daughter of Polly (Rau) and Claude Salisbury. She attended school at Minnewaukan, and Maddock, graduating from Benson County Agricultural Traing School (BCATS) at Maddock. She made many dear friends and kept in touch with them over the years. In high school she sang in a trio around Benson County with two of those friends.
She attended Minot Business College, where she learned secretarial training, which she used in various administrative positions throughout her life. She was a people person and used that skill in all of her work. During the 1960’s, she was the secretary of Maddock Public School.
She married Floyd Iverson, at Maddock, ND, in 1954. They made their home at Wheelock, ND, and lived in various towns in North Dakota, retiring in Fargo, ND. Floyd passed away in February of 2005. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends, with whom she spent much time visiting and praying.
Cecil is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Roger) Olson, Williston, ND, Kathi (Thomas Caufield) Seely, Jamestown; one son, Steven (Arlette) Jamestown; a sister, Joy Tollefson, Wickenburg, AZ; and a brother, Roger Salisbury, Montezuma, KS; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers Richard, Gordon, and Jessy; and sisters Rachel and Mavis.
