Chance Michael DeCoteau, 15, Jamestown, North Dakota, was called to the Lord on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Sanford Health Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

Chance was born January 27, 1995 in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Marlin, Sr. and Peggy (Kuhn) DeCoteau. He attended elementary school in Devils Lake, ND. In 2004 the family moved to Jamestown where he attended Jamestown schools.

Chance, being the youngest child of nine, was known as \""Tiny Guy\"" enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially with his many nieces and nephews. His hobbies were fixing, tinkering, and just brainstorming different ideas while working on cars, snowmobiling, playing bean bags, hacky-sack, and games of pool with his dad, along with watching Mixed Martial Arts (UFC) and carpentry work.

Chance is survived by his parents, Marlin, Sr. & Peggy DeCoteau, Jamestown; eight brothers and sisters, Chuck (Dawn) Amyotte, Dunseith, ND, Cory (Shannon) Amyotte, Jamestown, Marlin DeCoteau, Jr., Jamestown, Heaven DeCoteau, Larimore, ND, Princess DeCoteau, Devils Lake, ND, Kelly DeCoteau, Jamestown, Dustin DeCoteau, Fargo, ND and Danielle DeCoteau, Jamestown; maternal grandmother, Alice Kuhn, Bottineau, ND; and 19 special nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his great-greatparents, Mable Roussin, Oliver DeCoteau and Marvin Kuhn and uncle, Mark DeCoteau.

Funeral Mass: 2:30 PM, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, with Father Joe Barrett officiating.
