Charles George Schultz, 90, Youngtown, Arizona, formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Sun View Care Center in Youngtown.
Charles was born on May 15, 1917 in Windsor, ND, the son of Harry & Emma (Giese) Schultz. He completed his education in Windsor. He began his railroad career at the age of 18 as a lineman for Great Northern/Northern Pacific/Burlington Northern railway. Charles married Hilda Burkhardt on September 10, 1940 in Moscow, ID. He retired in 1978 and enjoyed fishing, golfing, deer, antelope, duck, goose, and pheasant hunting. Charles was a very talented man who was an excellent whist player and cribbage player.
Charles is survived by two daughters, Margaret (Larry) Elhard and Charla (Ken) Hunting, both of Phoenix, AZ; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Leo of California, brother, Jerome (Darlene) of Apache Junction, AZ; sister, Loretta Dengate of San Luis Obispo, CA.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brother, Clement ""Buck"" and Ambrose; and one sister, Irene Ennen.
Funeral Service: 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 1:00PM to 8:00PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the funeral home.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
