Charles Richard Zieske

Charles "Dick" Zieske, 85, Edina, MN and Marco Island, FL, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services, Naples, FL.

Charles Richard "Dick" Zieske was born January 27, 1922 at Walnut Grove, MN, the son of Edward and Margaret (Rawlings) Zieske. He was raised and attended school in Walnut Grove, graduating from Walnut Grove High School in 1939. He attended the University of Minnesota for one year before entering the United States Navy on July 12, 1943. He was discharged in 1945 and returned to the University of Minnesota graduating in 1949 with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. He began working as a salesman for Anderson Chevrolet, which later became Harold Chevrolet in Minneapolis, MN. On June 9, 1965, he married Kathryn Ann Grave of Minneapolis. They made their home in Edina, MN. After Dick's retirement in 1990, they began spending their winters in Marco Island, FL.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Ann and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers: Donald, Robert, Winston, and Earl and 3 sisters: Dorothy, Phyllis and Joann.
