Charlotte Bruner

Funeral Services for Charlotte Bruner, 95, Jamestown, ND and formerly Edgeley, ND, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel in Edgeley, ND.
Ina Charlotte Jensen was born July 1, 1920 to Hans and Clara (Oleson) Jensen on the family farm near Edgeley, ND. She was raised on the farm with her sister and brothers and attended high school at Berlin, ND.
In 1941 Charlotte married Howard Bruner, in Edgeley, ND. They made their home on a farm near Edgeley where Charlotte enjoyed her life as a farm wife as they raised three active children. She loved helping Howard, always looking forward to calving time. As Howard’s health declined she did a lot to help him on the farm, never considering it a chore. After Howard’s death, Charlotte moved into town. She enjoyed having coffee with her friends and being part of a Birthday Club. She also enjoyed bowling and playing Rummy and Solitaire. Charlotte was an entertainer and found pleasure in using her good china for special occasions. She loved her family however, her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were her world and she savored every moment with them.
In December, 2005 Charlotte moved to Roseadele Assisted Living Center in Jamestown, ND where she was a resident until May of this year. She enjoyed Bingo and never missed a music performance. She was always thrilled to have family and friends stop in and it was always a special treat for her when they brought candy or gum.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Douglas Bruner, Denver, CO; grandchildren: Clark Aiken, Austin, TX, Lynn (Ryan) Ova, Reynolds, ND, Ryan Bruner, Fargo, ND, Kristy Bruner (Andrew Rott) Glyndon, MN; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Allison and Emma; brothers: Donald Jensen, Jamestown, ND, and Doyne (Betty) Jensen, Aberdeen, SD; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by parents, Hans and Clara Jensen; her husband, Howard Bruner; children: Larry Bruner, and Carol Bruner; siblings: Gladys (Everett) Brovald, Floyd (Marilyn) Jensen, Clarence (Inez) Jensen; nephew, Scott Jensen.
