Charlotte "Char" Janes

Charlotte "Char" Janes, 78, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on February 10, 2017 at Eventide with her daughter Tanya at her side, from complications of pneumonia.
Charlotte was born October 28, 1938 at home in Woodworth, ND, daughter of William and Lydia (Moser) Lange. She attended schools in the surrounding areas.
November 15, 1963, she married Duane Janes, later divorcing in 1976.
Charlotte helped her sister Georgie cook and waitress at the café in Kensal several years ago. She was an amazing cook. She was also the cook at Kensal School for 18 years. She was well known for all her homemade meals, along with her sense of humor. She was the most kind, caring lady who loved her kids more than anything.
Charlotte is survived by her children; Brent, Forman, ND, Kerry, Fargo, ND, Sundae (Steven) Cervantes, Virginia Beach, VA, Tanya, Fargo, ND. Sister Georgie (Peter) Simonsen, Kensal, ND, Ronald Lange, FL, 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Shirley and Mildred; her brothers, Ivan, Marvin, Carl, Kenny and Gary; and a son, Terry.
The family of Charlotte wishes to thank the Red River Valley Hospice and the Staff at Eventide on 32nd for the great care during Charlotte's last few weeks, Brendan Krupich, Community Paramedic for the many years of coming to our apartment to check on our mom. You are a godsend. You always went above and beyond. Mom was an amazing person. We will miss her greatly.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 17 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Matthew Woods, officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
