Cheryl Dodgson

Cheryl Dodgson, 62, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday morning, July 25, 2017 at Sanford Critical Care Unit, Fargo, ND.

Cheryl Hanson was born January 3, 1955, in Jamestown, the daughter of Clifford and Beverly (Berg) Hanson. She grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1973. Cheryl worked for Dodgson Appliance for some time, and enjoyed driving pre-school bus. She has worked as a bookkeeper at Hanson Tire for the past 32 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, soaking in the hot tub, and cheering for the Minnesota Twins and UND Fighting Sioux. Cheryl was a member of various bowling leagues, enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling to Florida, and had a love for Disney. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and doctors at Sanford Critical Care Unit in Fargo, especially to nurse Emily – a nurse from Heaven.

Cheryl is survived by her life partner, Russ Dewald, Jamestown; son, Casey (Sondra Clark) Dodgson, Jamestown; son, Chris Dodgson, Miami, FL; daughter, Carrie Dodgson, Jamestown; five grandchildren, Kaiya Dodgson, Fallon Dodgson, Cole Clark, Logan Clark, and Mackenzie Clark; father, Clifford Hanson, Jamestown; sister, Carole (Royal) Sargent, Bismarck, ND; niece and nephew, Shawn Sargent and Kelsey Sargent; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Hanson; and her grandparents.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown, with Rev. Shawn Bowman officiating.

Visitation : 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the funeral home.

Prayer Service : 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the funeral home.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
