Christine Hoersch, 89, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown.

Christine Bier was born August 8, 1914 in Medina, North Dakota the daughter of Conrad and Elizabeth (Gums) Bier. She attended country school near Medina. On October 4, 1934 Christine married Adolph Hoersch in Medina. They farmed south of Medina and later south of Cleveland. In 1946 they moved into Jamestown. They also farmed for a short time in Bloom Township, Stutsman County and Anderson Township in Barnes County. Christine worked for many years as a seamstress for The Fair Store in Jamestown. Adolph died December 16, 1968. She lived at home until 1991 when she enterd Golden Years Nursing Home in Jamestown. Later she moved to Central Dakota Village.

Christine enjoyed playing the piano and fishing with her husband in Canada.

Christine is survived by a foster daughter, Doris (Lloyd) Weber of Bismarck, ND, one sister-in-law, Emily Bier of Reno, NV and two foster grandchildren, Dean (Colette) Weber, Bismarck and Valerie (James) Hamann, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
