Christine Schwab

Christine Katherine Schwab, 99, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, January 15, 2007 at MeritCare Palliative Care Center, Fargo, ND.

Christine was born August 18, 1907 in Sharlow Township, near Millarton, ND, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Kercher) Ebele. She grew up and attended school in Sharlow Township. She married Joseph F. Schwab on January 15, 1930 in Jamestown. They lived in Jamestown. He died June 30, 1987. She entered Rock of Ages assisted living in Jamestown in January 2002 and Central Dakota Nursing Home, Jamestown in October 2006.

She was a member of the Basilica of St. James, St. James Tabernacle and St. Catherine Circle. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening and crafts.

Christine is survived by two sons, James (Alice) Schwab, Appleton, MN and Joseph Schwab, Crookston, MN; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; infant great-granddaughter; two brothers; two sisters and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Schwab.

Memorial Service: 10:00 AM, Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Basilica of St. James with Rev. Joe Barrett officiating.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
