Clarabelle Hendrickson

Clarabelle Kathryn Hendrickson, 80, Fargo, North Dakota formerly of Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Clarabelle Renz was born September 29, 1927 in Hazelton, North Dakota to Christopher and Adeline (Reich) Renz. She was raised on the family farm. She attended school in Hazelton and graduated in 1945. Clarabelle attended Ellendale Normal College and taught school in the Hazelton District. She married Melvin R. Hendrickson on December 22, 1945. To this union four children were born. She took care of her children while Melvin worked various jobs. Melvin died May 24, 1964. After his death the family settled in Jamestown. Clarabelle worked at the Crippled Children School for five years. She then worked as a nurse assistant on the night shift at Jamestown Hospital. Clarabelle worked on the surgery, orthopedics floor and maternity ward. She retired in 1993. In 2006, she moved to Fargo to be near her son and grandchildren.

Clarabelle is survived by two sons, Melvin (Sue) Hendrickson, Mankato, MN and Robert (Trude) Hendrickson, Fargo, ND; two daughters, Gloria (Dennis) Lassig, Devils Lake, ND and Nancy (Terry) Albrecht, Jamestown, ND; twelve grandchildren, Teresa (Dan) McGillivray, Cheri Albrecht, Kathy Albrecht, all of Jamestown, Kimberly (Shawn) Nichols, Rathdrum, ID, Scott (Shannon) Hendrickson, Spokane, WA, Troy Hendrickson, Sandi (Chad) Kraft, Fargo, ND, David (Shanara) Lassig, West Fargo, ND, Tami (Bob) Schumacker, Devils Lake, ND, Alexis (Jeremy) Rinas, Fargo, ND, Aaron Hendrickson, Fargo, ND and Nathan Chapman, USMC, Mankato, MN; twenty great grandchildren, Jake, Tyler and Cooper Nichols, Jade, Preston Hendrickson, Morgan, Paige and Brooke Kraft, Andrew Lassig, Hope Schumacker, Terry and Alyssa McGillivray, Michaela and Heather Albrecht, Jessie, Justin, Albrecht, Nicolas Waa, Aiden, Asthon Rinas and Madsion Rose Chapman; six sisters, Marie Albaugh, Warren, MN, Leona McCarl, Helena, MT, Lillian Schwartz, Crosby, MN, Lou (Ralph) Tack, Grand Forks, ND, Irene Roquet, Ada, MN and Di (Ervin) Lindgren, East Grand Forks, MN; one brother, Richard (Bonnye) Renz, Hialean, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Jim Albaugh, Benzon, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and four brothers-in-law.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Darren Purdy officiating.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
