Clarence Hanson

Clarence Duane Hanson, 91, passed away June 23, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Clarence Hanson was born May 17, 1927 to Haaken and Hazel (Prentiss) Hanson in Minneapolis, MN. He was educated in Moorhead, MN and went on to join the Army in 1946. He served in Korea.

On February 2, 1948 he married his wife of 58 years Lorraine Lafferty. Clarence went on to work for Great Northern Railroad and retired from Burlington Northern as a road master in Jamestown, ND.

He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and a life time member of the VFW. Clarence enjoyed golf, bowling, playing pool and singing Karaoke.

Clarence is survived by his daughter Dianna (Larry) Pinske, Two Harbors, MN; two sons James Hanson, Eugene, OR and Bradley (Carie) Hanson, Jamestown, ND; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. He is preceded in death by his wife Lorraine and two sons John and Robert.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Atonement Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Jamie Desai officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
