Clayton “Clay” Jay Meadows, age 64, of Medina passed away Monday, October 11th with family by his side.
Clay was born October 26th, 1956 to Glen & Vera (Hust) Meadows. He attended Medina Public School and went on to work for Cass Clay Creameries and Calkins Trucking for a number of years and as a welder in the Jamestown area.
Clay had a love for fishing and hunting. He mostly enjoyed the time he had with his kids, grandkids and of course his many fur animals. He especially had a love for dogs, having many throughout his life, as some could call him the The Dog Whisperer because he had such a special way with them. He also enjoyed his summer’s taking care of his yard and helping others with theirs as well. You could always find him out on his riding lawn mower drinking a Pepsi and enjoying outside.
Anyone who knew him definitely knew he had a humorous side. He always had a joke for his kids and grandkids and could give a good laugh.
He was always his kids #1 supporter, encouraging them to go for anything they wanted in life. His advice will be missed, but they will continue to remember what their Dad would tell them and always hear him rooting them on.
Clay is survived by his children; Stephanie (Dustin) Rau, Jessica (Jeff) Hofmann, Alisha (Jessy) Pfarr, Cami (Tyler) Simon, Dustin Meadows and April Mayhew. His grandchildren; Corey, Aubrey, Emmitt, Izzy, Jaxon, Maddy, Lydia, Braylee, Scott, Natasha along with one great-grandchild; Riley. Siblings; Clifford (Sherry) Meadows, Shirley (Don) Ihli; Along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen & Vera; sister, Glenda (Keith) Giese; brother, Bruce Hust; and two infant siblings.
A celebration of the life of Clayton Meadows will be held from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at English Lutheran Church, Medina, North Dakota. Lunch will also be provided for those attending.
