Clifford L. Carlson

June 16, 1931 — August 10, 2011

Clifford "Pat" L. Carlson of Edgeley, ND, 80, passed away August 10, 2011 at the Veteran's Hospital in Fargo, ND. During his last days, his wife of 54 years, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were at his side.

Clifford was born in Jud, ND on June 16, 1931 to Charles and Nellie (Roehr) Carlson the second of ten children. He attended school in Jud, ND. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 3/13/1950 - 3/12/1954. Following his discharge, he moved back to Jud, ND and worked on the family farm. In 1956, he married Beatrice Mundt from Kulm, ND. They made their home on a farmstead near Berlin, ND later moving to a farmstead near Kulm, ND where they raised their 4 children, later they moved to Edgeley, ND. Clifford made his career as a professional OTR Driver.

He enjoyed hunting, wood working and playing with his grandchildren and later his great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his attention-grabbing stories.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice of Edgeley and four children: Merwin (Denise) Carlson, of Moorhead; Debbie (Tom) Mohelski, of Moose Lake, MN; Merritt (Katie Hall) Carlson of Hawley, MN; Kristie (Todd) Nedrebo of Georgetown, MN. by his nine grandchildren: Kristina, Kevin Jr. and Christopher Riley; Jeremiah and Joseph Nedrebo; Nicholas, Charles and Solomon Carlson; Justin Dashnaw (step grandson); by his eleven great-grandchildren: Kevin III, Kennyth and Sofiya Riley; Aubree, Haylee and Samantha Nedrebo and Mason Koenig (step great-grandson); Cayden Riley; Gabriel Nedrebo; Jakob and James Erven and by five brothers, Leslie (Chris) Carlson, Jim (Murhel) Carlson, Keith (Jan) Carlson, Calvin (Locki) Carlson, and Harlen Carlson; two sisters, LaVern Carlson and Marjorie (Ruben) Romero; and many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nellie Carlson, brothers Merritt Carlson & Arvid "Butch" Carlson, and one sister Marie Walraven.

Clifford's family would like to thank the staff at Veterans Hospital of Fargo.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Edgeley, ND; where Clifford and Beatrice are members. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 pm., Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
