Clifford Carow, 82 of Edgeley, ND died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at his home in Edgeley, ND.
Clifford Julius Carow was born March 20, 1924 on the family farm located in Wano Township near Edgeley, ND, the son of Fred and Theresa (Flatau) Carow. He was raised on the farm and attended the Wano Township School. He married Sylvia Exner on September 27, 1948 at The Basilica Of St. James, Jamestown, ND. They settled on the Carow family farm until moving into Edgeley in 1968. Clifford and his wife owned and operated Cliff's Tavern, Edgeley from 1964 until 1974. He also worked as a full time truck driver for GTA from 1970 until 1987 and sold seed for Cargill Co. He then worked as an equipment delivery driver for Anderson Brothers of Edgeley until retiring in 1998.
Clifford was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND where he taught religion for many years. He was also a member of Edgeley Knights of Columbus and the Jamestown Eagles. He had served as District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include 1 son, Kim (Sheryl), Jamestown, ND; 3 daughters, Carlann "Carlee" Carow, Fargo, ND, Meleia (Roger) Anderson, Edgeley, ND, and Lisa, (Keith) Kuhn, Gackle, ND; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sylvia; son, C.Jay Carow; grandson, Lee Anderson and a brother, Floyd.
Funeral Service - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2006 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND
Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND.
Interment - Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
