Clifford Morlock

Clifford Morlock, 80, Pettibone, North Dakota, passed away on January 22, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, after a short battle with cancer.

Clifford was born on August 5, 1930 in Pettibone, ND, the son of Adolph and Pauline (Wagner) Morlock. Clifford was the oldest of ten children. He grew up in the rural Pettibone area and attended school in Lake Williams. Clifford married Viona Stroh on November 6, 1955. Clifford and Viona were blessed with three children. After they were married, Clifford and Viona lived in rural Robinson, ND, for six months and then lived with Clifford's parents until January 1959, then bought some land and started a farm 2 1/2 miles south of Lake Williams. Clifford was still residing on the family farm at the time of his death. Clifford and Viona kept busy milking cows for many years. Until the time of his illness, he was still busy helping on the farm with the feeding of cows and helping with the calving, planting, haying and harvesting. Clifford enjoyed doing projects that kept him busy. His most recent project was making a goose-neck trailer from an old trailer house. Clifford needed to keep busy doing something. He did not know the meaning of the word retirement.

Clifford is survived by his three children: Barbara (Robert) Hellman and Charlene (Michael) Henley, both of Lincoln, ND and Donald Morlock, rural Pettibone, ND; grandchildren, Angela Hellman, Glendive, MT, Sara Henley and her fiance', Troy Hoiland, Lincoln, ND, Brian (Samantha) Henley, Mandan, ND, Kevin (Kristal) Henley, Lincoln, ND; great-grandchildren, Darrius Ricke, Raelyn Frey and Brynn Henley; three sisters, Leona Hust, Tappen, ND, Joann (Willard) Kemmet, Bradshaw, NE, and Gloria (Gerald) Doerr, Jamestown, ND; four brothers Reinhold (Norma) Morlock, Reuben (Gloria) Morlock and Wesley (Jackie) Morlock, all of Jamestown, and James (Sandy) Morlock, rural Pettibone, ND; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Morlock, Jamestown and Delores Robinson, Mandan, ND; brother-in-law, Dennis (Frances) Stroh, Mandan, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Olga and August Stroh; one brother, LeRoy Morlock; one sister, Eileen Hojian; and brothers-in-law, Milton Hust and Leo Stroh.
