Clifford Arthur Otto

April 5, 1922 — June 24, 2003

Clifford Arthur Otto, Sr., 81, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at the SCCI Hospital in Fargo, ND. Clifford was born April 5, 1922, the son of Henry and Odelia (Stern) Otto in Robinson, North Dakota. He attended country schools near Robinson and helped on the family farm. Clifford worked with the Civil Conservation Corp. He married Florence Lillian Siebert on July 23, 1942. They lived in Pettibone, ND and farmed in the area. They moved to Jamestown where he worked for Midway Chevrolet. Later, he was an excavator operator for the Goodman Farm Electric. Then he went on to work as manager of the V.F.W. Cecil Tracy Post 760. He also worked for Rollohome Manufacturing and Arneson Plumbing and Heating in Jamestown.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Florence; three sons, Eugene (Connie) Otto, Jamestown, Terry (Anna Cassilly) Otto, Pittsboro, NC and Clifford Otto, Jr of Misawa, Japan and two daughters, Sandra Klose, Kindred, ND and Sharon (Larry) Gutzwiller, Jamestown; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Haluska, Chaseley, ND and Violet Guthmiller, Jamestown and one brother, Glenn Otto of Medina, ND; and special sister-in-law, Edith Otto of Mandan, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herbert and Roy Otto; and one infant sister, Delores.

Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, June 27, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Norman Winkelman officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
