Cora Dreher

Cora Dreher, 89, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Cora Stedman was born May 13, 1917 near Grace City, North Dakota, the daughter of George and Lura (Whitman) Stedman. She was raised on the family farm south of Grace City and received her education at a rural school near there. Cora married Raymon O. Dreher on November 26, 1938 in New Rockford, ND. They farmed near McHenry until their retirement in 1965. After retirement they moved to Jamestown where their home had been since. Raymon died August 15, 1990.

Cora enjoyed writing poetry, playing cards with her friends, cooking and baking.

Cora is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Merle and Jackie Dreher, Ryder, ND; three granddaughters, Sheila (James) Evanoff, DesLacs, ND, Kay Gilbertson, Houston, TX and Jill Hushka, Hazen, ND; one grandson, Justin Dreher, Ryder, ND; six great-grandchildren: Jordan, Cameron, Connor, Aaron, Tanner and Alyssa; one sister, Luella (Bill) Bragg, Wahpeton, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters, Laureen Hjelseth, Violet Topp, Florence Topp, Marguerite Topp and Leona Pearl Stedman and four brothers, Merle, Clarence, Neil and Keith Stedman.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
