Crystal Olson, 67, Bremerton, WA, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at her home in Bremerton.

Crystal Lee Thompson was born April 23, 1941 in Jamestown, ND the daughter of William Dewey and Hazel Johanna (Cody) Thompson. She was raised and attended school in Jamestown. She worked as a waitress in Jamestown and also at King Photography Studio. She moved to Nashville, TN where she worked as a waitress. Crystal lived in several cities in the south and on the west coast before settling in Bremerton, WA.

Crystal was an artist who loved painting and was especially skilled at creating paintings from photographs.

Survivors include 5 children: Darold "Dave" (Sandy) Farthing, Jamestown, ND; Maria (John) Gilleard, Atlanta, GA; Denise Reed, Atlanta, GA; William Bradley Jackson, Bremerton, WA; Hurene Hakim Jackson, Bremerton, WA; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters and her step-mother.

A private family service will be held.
