Curtis D. Moser, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota, formerly of Medina, ND, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Jamestown Hospital.
Curtis was born March 15, 1935 in Medina, the son of Peter J. and Rachel (Opp) Moser. He graduated from Medina High School in May 1953. He enjoyed basketball and all sports in general. Right after high school Curtis joined the US Army and was discharged in November 1955. On October 3, 1970 Curtis married Dorthy Mock. Curtis worked construction and drove truck until beginning a 35 year career as a laborer and maintenance man for Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroad. He retired in 1996. Curtis enjoyed the outdoors and his family, especially his grandchildren.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Dorthy, Jamestown; four sons, Ron Moser, Valley City, ND, Dale (Sherry) Moser, Benson, MN, Gary Moser (special friend, Theresa Bergstedt), and Terry (Sara) Moser, both of Jamestown; one daughter, Paula (Josh) Gudmestad; Jamestown; ten grandchildren, Derrick Moser, Tara Moser, Kyle Moser, Conrad Nelson, Kaylee Moser, Cameron Moser, Carter Moser, Kobe Moser, Jake Moser and Jaden Gudmestad; two sisters, Phyllis Hochhalter, Medina and Shirley (Rod) Hanson, Las Vegas, NV; and one brother, Roger (Cherry) Moser, Medina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Slavick.
Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, August 10, 2009 at Zion United Church of Christ, Medina, ND, with Rev. Karl Limvere officiating.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, North Dakota.
