Dale Dean

Dale Dean age 88 of Jamestown, ND, passed away March 31st 2025 peacefully surrounded by family at Eventide nursing home. Dale was born on November 3, 1936 in Jamestown, ND to Al and Gertrude Dean. Dale grew up on the family farm east of Jamestown. He attended school in Spiritwood. Dale married Dolores Schortick on May 14, 1961 together they had three daughters and resided in Jamestown.

Dale had a passion for farming and continued that on the family farm where they raised cattle and crops. His hobbies included restoring and collecting old tractors. He always enjoyed wildlife and self-taught taxidermy with his son-in-law Shaun. When he was not farming, he worked for the Grain Elevator, Railroad and various construction jobs.

Dale is survived by his wife Dolores of 64 years; daughters Deb Winson, Palm Coast Florida, Deanna Fischer (Shaun) Jamestown, ND, Dawn Freberg (Mike) Jamestown, ND; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, uncle, aunt, and his grandparents.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Eventide and Red River Hospice for the compassion and wonderful care they provided Dale.

Words Dale would want us to live by is "The main thing is never get excited".

There is a place where we will meet again where clocks don't tick until then this is not a goodbye this is a see you later.
