Dale G. Hanson, 84, Robinson, ND, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.
Dale was born December 26, 1928 in Bismarck, the son of Peter and Mildred (Haugen) Hanson. He received his education in Robinson schools. He entered the US Army on January 9, 1952 in Fargo, ND and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged on September 18, 1953 and returned to North Dakota. On November 21, 1954 Dale married Joyce Neustel in Robinson. Dale worked for Kidder County Road Department for 40 years, from where he retired.
He was a member of the Lions Club and Bethany Lutheran Church, both of Robinson. He served on many church boards and the cemetery board. Dale enjoyed golfing, woodworking, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.
Dale is survived by his wife, Joyce Hanson, Robinson; five children, Greg Hanson, Drayton, ND, Gary (Sandra) Hanson, Elk River, MN, Gayle (Rod) Cook, Woodworth, ND, Geneal (Randy) St. Aubin, Apple Valley, MN and Gwyn (Scott) Gust, Jamestown; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Peter (Loretta) Hanson, Bismarck and Milo "Jim" (Mary Lou) Hanson, Robinson; and two sisters, Velma (Art) Trautmann, Bismarck and Ardene Barth, Duluth, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two half-sisters.
