Dale Ketelsen

Dale John Stamnes Ketelsen was born July 15, 1932 in Valley City to Andy and Myrtle (Stamnes) Ketelsen. He was raised in the Wimbledon area and attended local high schools.

In 1955, he married Gaye Frederick and they lived locally, raising their four children. He was the owner-operator of grain elevators in Wimbledon, Bordulac, Jamestown and Pingree, retiring in 2013. He married Arlene Bear in 2000 and they lived in Jamestown.

He is survived by his children Tess (Ron) Smith, Scott (Lynn), Angela Bartlett and Craig (Marcy); grandchildren Alissa, Jamie, Dan, Claire (Patrick), Grace, Lindsay (Ben), Tucker, Emily, John, Erika and two great-grandsons, Riley and Warren; his sister, Kay Deuitch; special friends Dale Bear, Bobbi Tompkins, Kenny and Priscilla Hoggarth as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, his parents, his sister, Lois Petersen and infant brother, Richard.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jamestown with Pastor Erik Weber officiating.
