Dale Peckham

Dale B. Peckham, 85, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital.

Dale was born October 23, 1921 in Corwin township, Stutsman County, North Dakota, the son of Roy and Mabel (Trowbridge) Peckham. Dale moved to the homeplace in 1926 and took over the Peckham family farm in 1944. On June 7, 1944, Dale married Lillian Erickson in Minnesota.

He loved going to auctions, fishing on the Beaver Creek, visiting with neighbors and spending time with his family.

Dale served on the Corwin Township board for 15 years, the Klose Elevator board for several years, was a member of the Ypsilanti Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown and for many years helped set up the Peckham family barn dances.

Dale is survived by his wife, Lillian, of Jamestown; three daughters, Charlene (Maynard) Messer, Hannaford, ND, Denise (Thomas) Walz, Pelican Rapids, MN and Lynette (Douglas) Gohner, Montpelier, ND; one son, LaRell (Stacy) Peckham, Ypsilanti, ND; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Olive Krueger, West Covina, CA and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and one brother.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, June 29, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Rich Fitzer officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Receiving Friends: 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jamestown Hospital or Jamestown Hospice.
