Dallas R. Johnson

Dallas R. Johnson, 73, Pingree, North Dakota, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at his home in Pingree.

Dallas was born October 20, 1935 in McHenry, ND, the son of Harry and Esther (Stromberg) Johnson. He attended Rockford Consolidated School. Dallas was a self-employed carpenter and farmer.

Dallas enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his family telling stories.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Ruth, Pingree; seven children, Ruth Ann (Wayne Howard) Yonts, Lanesboro, MN, Ralph Johnson, West Fargo, ND, Robert Johnson, Pingree, Steve (Kathleen) Johnson, Merrimack, NH, Doug (Cari) Johnson and Becky (Larry) Benson, both of Jamestown and David Johnson, Pingree; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Johnson, Lanesboro, MN and Harry (Carol) Johnson, Jamestown; and one sister, Lorraine Myhre, Prairie du Chien, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one brother.

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial in the spring: Pingree Cemetery, Pingree, North Dakota
