Daniel Aipperspach

Daniel Aipperspach, 80, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Daniel was born January 23, 1924 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Christ and Katherine (Kline) Aipperspach. He grew up and recieved his education in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1942. He entered the U.S. Armed Forces on April 7th 1943 and was discharged on December 10th, 1945. He served with the 18th Calvary Reconn. Squadron in the European Theater. Following the service, he returned to Jamestown and worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He later worked for the Jamestown Post Office, retiring in 1986. Dan married Dorothy Stoddart in 1975 in Jamestown, ND. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Jamestown Elks, the Eagles, and VFW Post 760.

Daniel is survived by his wife Dorothy Aipperspach, of Jamestown; two sons, David and Randy Aipperspach, of California; step-daughter, Donnelle (John) Pogorzelski, of Moorhead, MN; step daughter-in-law, Phyllis Stoddart of Bismarck, ND; eleven grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara (Robert) Clinton, of Jamestown, ND; and sister-in-law, Loretta Aipperspach of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step son, Jerry Stoddart; six brothers and four sisters.

Memorial Service: 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown with Rev. Terri Akkerman officiating.

No visitation scheduled. Arrangements by the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
