Darlene Grace Moos, 72, Medina, North Dakota died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at MedCenter One in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Mrs. Moos was born June 13, 1934 on a farm south of Medina, ND, the daughter of Robert and Lydia (Moser) Mayer. She attended rural school in Newbury Township. She married Walter Schlecht on November 22, 1951 in Medina.
They lived in Herreid and Stickney, SD before moving to Medina, ND. Walter and Darlene had three children: Warren, Waldo & Gail. They enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren and camping and traveling. Walter passed away July 8, 1993. Darlene was a member of Sunshine Homemakers Club of Medina, Crystal Springs Evangelical Church and Women's Fellowship, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown.
Darlene married Elmer Moos on December 5, 1998. They enjoyed working together on home improvement projects and yard work. Elmer passed away on September 4, 2004.
Darlene entered Maple View Assisted Living Facility in Bismarck in February of 2007.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies included: taking pictures, canning, quilting, making homemade noodles & kuchen, sewing, reading, hiking and camping.
Darlene is survived by her sons, Warren (Michal) Schlecht, Bismarck, ND and Wally (Deme) Schlecht, Ryder, ND; daughter, Gail Deschamp, Bismarck; six grandchildren, Ryan Schlecht, Englewood, CO, Tyler (Jessica ) Schlecht, Medina, Dusty (Jennifer) Schlecht, Minot, ND, Travis Schlecht, Grand Forks, ND, Derrick Deschamps, Grand Forks, ND and Kayle Deschamp, Bismarck; one great-grandchild, Madilyn Kyler Schlecht, Medina; five sisters, Lorine (Clarence ) Schlecht, Medina, Delores Obenanuer, Mandan, ND, Lillian (Reuben) Schlecht, Medina, Marlina (Richard) Spitzer, Bloomington, MN, Rose Marie (Charles) Simmons, Colorado Springs, CO and one brother, Clarence (Lucy) Mayer, Medina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Walter and Elmer.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, May 18, 2007 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Thusday, May 17, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 6:30 PM, Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, North Dakota
