Darlene Teske

November 5, 1944 — March 16, 2022

Darlene Ann Teske, age 77 of Jamestown, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota surrounded by family and close friends.

Born on November 5, 1944 in Ellendale, North Dakota, Darlene was the daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Wiederrich) Teske of Monango, North Dakota.  Raised on the family farm near Monango, Darlene attended school in Fullerton, North Dakota and graduated from Plainview Academy High School in Redfield, South Dakota.  Upon graduation, Darlene attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.

After her time at Union College, Darlene made her home in Jamestown, North Dakota where she would reside for the rest of her life.  Darlene worked in the banking industry as well as various administrative positions in Jamestown over the years.  After retirement, Darlene continued to stay active, working at Don’s House of Flowers.  Darlene had a special place in her heart for flowers and decorating, finding the perfect position working at Don’s.  Darlene was loved deeply by her co-workers, who she considered to be family.

In addition to flowers and decorating, Darlene loved spending time with her dogs, which brought her deep joy through the years.  Most recently Darlene provided a loving home for rescue dogs “Murphy” and “Dawson.”

Darlene is survived by her brother Darwin (Sally) Teske of Casa Grande, Arizona; sister Linda Jury, Ellendale, North Dakota; nieces Colleen Boling Gaddis Ross, Phoenix, Arizona and Marnie Schagunn, Montesano, Washington as well as nephew Brad (Amity) Cook, West Fargo, North Dakota.  Darlene is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends that she has made over the years.  Darlene was preceded in death by both parents, Daniel and Elizabeth (Wiederrich) Teske.

A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, North Dakota with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Greg Allen of the Jamestown First Church of the Nazarene will officiate the service, which will be livestreamed on her obituary page at eddyfuneralhome.com for those unable to attend.  Memories and condolences can be shared online at eddyfuneralhome.com of Jamestown, ND.
