Darrell Lee Moran

Darrell Lee Moran, 62, Bismarck, ND formerly of Pingree, ND passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 in an ATV accident near Syre, MN. Darrell was born August 2, 1952 to Robert and Nora (Manley) Moran in Kensal, ND. He grew up on the family farm, attended Pingree High School graduating in 1970. Darrell was baptized, confirmed and served as altar boy at St. Michael's Church.
Darrell and Terri Miemietz (Opatz) were married September 1971. They had three children. His abilities lead to many jobs: farm work in the area, engineer for Burlington Northern and BNSF railroads, Mining Service specialist for Modern Industries, Construction Equipment Operator, presently employed by W.D. Scepaniak Inc., Holdingford, MN.
Darrell enjoyed Moran family gatherings, card games, camping, cooking and country music. He had a knack for all things mechanical and going along with a good joke. His family will miss his hearty laugh.
His family includes parents, Robert and Nora Moran; children, Shane Moran, Courtenay, ND, Amber (Robert) Brewer, Aberdeen, SD, Shyloh (Rob) Klein, Jamestown, ND; eight grandchildren; brothers, DeWayne (Peggy) Moran, Washburn, ND, Donovan Moran, LaMoure, ND; sisters, Sandra (Duane) Broschat, Bismarck, ND, Robin (Glenn) Dunwoody, Jamestown, ND, Laurel (Patrick) Spaeth, Redmond, WA and many nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, Friday, May 29 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND with Msgr. Jeffrey L. Wald, officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 28 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Vigil Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 28 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Pingree Cemetery.
