Darwin Strobel, 79, of Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, from complications related to a fall.
Darwin was born on April 23, 1939, the son of Fredreich and Bertha (Gall) Strobel. He graduated from Kulm high school in 1957. He was drafted into the U.S. Army serving from 1962 to 1964. He was stationed in Germany. Darwin married Carol in Jamestown, ND on July 8, 1967. They resided in Kulm where he worked at Kulm State Bank until his retirement in 2001.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol, children: Mark (Vanessa), Sara (Darin) Ellingson, and Mike (Julie); grandchildren: Max Strobel, Jaden Strobel, Meghan, Emma, and Jack Ellingson; brother, Dale (Pam) Strobel; sister, Carol (Eldon) Pinke and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bertha Strobel; Father and Mother-in-law, Marvin and Margaret Limesand.
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Funeral Service : 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Father Jamie Parsley officiating.
