David E. Jensen, 57, Jamestown, North Dakota died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 26, 2005.
David E. Jensen was born January 28, 1948 at Devils Lake, ND, the son of Edward and Florence (Johnson) Jensen. He graduated from Velva, ND in 1966. He attended UND and graduated in 1971, majoring in social work. In 1978 he completed his master's degree in guidance and counseling at UND. He married Carol Rauser on October 31, 1970 at Grand Forks, ND.
David loved to travel and was a boating and camping enthusiast. He was a ""jack of all trades"". Some of his hobbies included: semi-official auto mechanic, creative chef, and carpenter. David was a devoted, loving husband and father, and dearly adored his two granddaughters. He worked in Belcourt, Dickinson and spent the last 21 years as a Vocational Counselor in Jamestown. David loved music and was a member of the Choralaires for 12 years.
He is survived by wife, Carol; his three sons, Shane (Colleen) and two granddaughters (Kelsey and Kylie), Champlin, MN; Ryan, Grand Forks, ND; Dustin, Fargo, ND; Florence Jensen (mother) Nampa, Idaho; two sisters, Danna (Richard) Miller, Nampa, Idaho; Karen (Ron) Byre, Minot, ND; brother, Loren (Sue) Jensen, Bremerton, WA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward (Bumpo) Jensen.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial at a later date.
