David Weber, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital.
David was born November 28, 1921 in Cleveland, ND, the son of Edward H. and Pauline (Lutz) Weber. He grew up and attended school in the Cleveland area. On October 13, 1942 David enlisted in the US Army and served his country during World War II. Upon his discharge on August 5, 1943 he returned to North Dakota. David married Violet Limesand on June 16, 1946 in Jamestown. He farmed in the Cleveland area for 20 years. They then lived in Jamestown where David was an insurance claims adjuster, until his retirement in 1986.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. David enjoyed golf, bowling, Twins baseball and playing cards.
David is survived by his wife, Violet, Jamestown; one son, Dale (Jeri) Weber, Grand Forks, ND; two daughters, LeAnn Weber, Milton, WA, and Rita (Joe) Flaig, Auburn, WA; and six grandchildren, Nikkole (Troy) Zierden, Minnetonka, MN, Marcus (Vicki) Weber, San Antonio, TX, Jessi (Jeremy) Graves, San Diego, CA, Sara (Raymond) Singer, Hayden, ID, Kassie Flaig, Auburn, WA and David Flaig, Ft. Stewart, GA.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory; his parents; four brothers, Adolph, Walter, Otto and Robert; and four sisters, Nelda Hoeckle, Esther Zuehls, Marian Greer and Lillian Krause.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Rev. Kenrad Pederson officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the First United Methodist Church Elevator fund.
