Del Tarno, 75, of Jamestown, ND died January 1, 2005 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.
Delora Oster was born September 7, 1929 in Hazen, ND the daughter of Emanuel and Katie (Zuern) Oster. She married Bernard (Bud) Tarno in Moorhead, MN on October 22, 1948. They made there home in Jamestown where she was a charter member of the Elkettes and a member of the Womens Bowling Association and the VFW Auxiliary for 50 years. They wintered in Arizona for many years.
Del is survived by her husband, Bud Tarno of Jamestown, four sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Neal (Libby), Bruce Douglas (Rhonda), Bill Dean (Kathy) of Jamestown, Scott Lee (Katrina) of Roosevelt, Utah; 8 grandchildren, Lori (Joe Guthmiller), Todd (Melanie), Ryan, Austin, Brett of Jamestown, Erin of Dayton, OH, Samantha, Chad of Utah; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Erna (Dale) Smith, Zeeland, MI and Gladys Schulz of Jamestown; one sister-in-law, Betty (Paul) Nolthing, Eau Claire, WI; one brother-in-law, Warren (Virginia) Oster of Columbus, GA; 2 step-sisters, Irma (Ray) Wamhoff, Hopkins, MI and Viona Seale of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; one brother; parents; and 2 nephews.
Funeral Service: 1:00PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Alan Eppen officiating.
Visitation: Tuesday, January 4, 2005 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
