Delores "Dee" Donegan Noecker, 89, Jamestown, ND, died on the Feast of the Ascension, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND. This was 5 months to the day after her husband Bud died.

Delores Kokott was born November 5, 1921 at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, ND, the daughter of C.W. and Clara (Wojick) Kokott. She was raised and attended school in Wimbledon, ND, graduating from Wimbledon High School in 1939. She attended the Matchie Business School for 2 years. She worked as the proprietor of the Igloo Café in Jamestown from 1940 to 1945. Delores married James W. Donegan at Jamestown, ND on May 3, 1945. From 1945 to 1950 she was employed at Martin's Radio and Electric as the manager of the Record Department and the bookkeeper. She was the manager of the Dotty Dunn Hat Shop from 1966 to 1967. James died on May 16, 1966. She went to work for the Jamestown Post Office in 1966 where she worked as a rural letter carrier on Rural Route #2. On September 9, 1978, she married Bud Noecker at the Newman Center, Fargo, ND. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1991 after 25 years of employment. She worked part-time for the Jamestown Sun newspaper from 1992-2002.

Delores was a member of St. James Basilica and the Basilica Tabernacle Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing the slot machines at the casino and a cup of cappuccino.

Survivors include 2 children: Sandra Lee (Mike) Gazdiewich, Wheat Ridge, CO; J.T. Donegan, Englewood, CO; 2 stepdaughters, Linda (Dan) Alsager, Flushing, MI and Carol (Steve) Hackley, Poplar, MT; 7 grandchildren, Ryan (Anne) Marcon and Christopher Marcon, both Denver, CO, Shannon Dee Donegan, Englewood, CO, Nathen Hackley and Kelli Hackley, both Poplar, Montana, Katie (Dan) Cross, Nashville, TN, Christina Alsager, Ferndale, NC, and a sister, Bernice (Lester) Young, Littleton, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a sister, Eileen and 3 brothers: Leonard, James and Lyle.

Funeral - 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND

Prayer Service - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND

Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Interment - Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND

Memorials - May be directed to The St. James Basilica building fund or Jamestown Safe Shelter.
