Delores Wehler

Delores B. Wehler, 99, Jamestown, ND passed away January 19, 2023 at Eventide Jamestown surrounded by family and friends.

Dee was born December 16, 1923 in Berlin, ND to Walter and Florence Kratz.

She married Edwin Wehler June 8, 1947.  They resided in Jamestown, ND.  Dee and Ed owned and operated Wehler’s Family Shoes.  After selling the business she worked at Keith’s Fashions for many years.  After Ed’s passing Dee married Francis Simmers on March 22, 1998 and also gained an awesome extended family.

She is survived by a daughter Linda DeVillers and her children Kristin, Dawn (Craig), Erin (Dan); grandchildren Kyle, Dylan (Kayla) and MacKenzie; two great grandchildren, Easton and Blayklee; sisters Bonnie (Floyd), Lenaxa, KS, Caroline, Pelican Rapids, MN, Donna (Larry), Addy, WA and a brother Walter, Jr., LaMoure, ND.  Dee was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy and husbands Ed and Francis, two brothers Vernon and Wesley and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 18, 2023 at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating.  Interment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND at a later date.
