Deloris Williams, 76, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. Deloris H. Headland was born September 16, 1927 at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, ND the daughter of Ross and Marvel (Johnson) Headland. She grew up in the Adrian, North Dakota area, attended schools there and graduated from Adrian High School. Deloris attended Valley City Teachers College in 1945. She taught at several rural schools in Stutsman and LaMoure Counties, North Dakota. She married Almon Williams on October 27, 1945 in Fargo, North Dakota. They farmed south of Cleveland until 1991 when they retired and moved to Jamestown.
Deloris was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Jamestown and was a Jamestown Hospital volunteer for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, pinochle and cards with her friends and grandchildren, fishing and watching sports on television.
Deloris is survived by her husband, Almon, Jamestown, five children, Dale Williams, Tacoma, WA; Doris (Jerry) Schafer, Albert Lea, MN; Mark (Diane) Williams, Jud, ND; Wade (Tina) Williams and Chad (Barbara) Williams, both of Jamestown, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Lorraine (Irving) Derby, Jamestown and a brother, Ross, Jr. & Erna Headland, Medina, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Earl Dean Williams and a great-grandson, William ""Will"" Mullenbach.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Thompson officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
